You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

By uploading Your Content, you grant everwood a limited, non-exclusive license to:

• Store and display Your Content to you.
• Process Your Content through AI systems solely to generate developmental feedback for you.
• Display Your Content to publishers you have explicitly authorized — whether through listing settings, approved read requests, or verified-publisher access.

This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where copies persist briefly in backups or as required by law.

everwood uses third-party AI providers to analyze manuscript excerpts and generate insights (tone, structure, consistency, grammar, and similar developmental feedback). This feedback is generated automatically and may contain errors or inaccuracies. It is not professional editorial, legal, or literary-agent advice, and you should use your own judgment when acting on it.

Publisher accounts may apply for verification by submitting organization details for review. Verified publisher status grants read access to full manuscripts that writers have listed publicly. Writers may also individually approve or decline read requests from any user. Publishers accessing manuscripts through everwood agree to use that access solely for legitimate acquisition and evaluation purposes — not to copy, redistribute, or use manuscript content for any other purpose.

You agree not to:

• Upload content you don't have the right to share.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Scrape, redistribute, or misuse other users' manuscripts or personal data.
• Misrepresent your identity or organization when applying for publisher verification.
• Use the platform to harass, spam, or abuse other users.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

everwood is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that AI feedback will be accurate, that publishers will engage with your work, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, everwood is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of everwood after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
